Tina Ralyea, Board Secretary
Tina Ralyea is an Assistant Vice President patient care Services at Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health. With over 35 years in healthcare she is passionate to serve and service others. My passion is to align services for all and be the best in health care. Additionally I am adjunct faculty for Queens University in Charlotte, NC. I write professionally and am co-editor for the 2019 American Journal of Nursing Textbook of the year for advanced practice nurses. I share this because it aligns my personal and professional beliefs. Every individual gathers much information over the years and course of time. Unless we use the information and challenge our definition of success in scope and measure, we as a people cannot move forward. Very simply equal access to care and education are important to me.
Why are you involved with Project One?
Being married to an educator for 29 years, has always bonded us together to help and support children with basic foundations in education. Often we would tutor, volunteer time teaching classes, and most importantly asking the questions to stimulate Why? How? Creating curiosity and a desire for learning has always been important. I often have nursing students that shadow me and I mentor and if I can interest anyone in the plethora of healthcare fields, I often am happy to share time and talent. Children are our future and I am passionate to help the community. Project One truly aligns with my personal and professional values and thank you for this opportunity to give back!
